    Hi,

In the BloX editor, what is a “patch” ? I suppose it correspond to a “sound” in Blofeld world. Right?

And what is a “slot” ? Is this a “Part” in multimode ?

What is the “Active Slot” ?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi,

Yes a Patch is ONE sound.

Each slot = A patch per slot

    Slot 01 – Patch 1
    slot 02 – Patch 2
    etc
This goes for hardware and plugin. When for example Requesting Patch data from hardware to your software libriran. The Hardware will then send tEach Slot /Patch to the libriran.

Active Slot -Current active slot from the hardware that is being used.

I thought i should give you this so you understand each meaning for what is what.
Please look into the attached photo and go for each number for each description.

    1. gets data from active plugin part to plugin gui part
example, if part 2 selected and request is made, part 2 data from hardware is requested to part 2 in the plugin

    2. same as above, BUT data is requested to current librarian slot

    3. gets the untouched / unedited program from hardware memory to librarian

    Hope this was helpful.

    Kind regards
    Mauricio

    Hi,

Thanks a lot. It helps a bit.

Why use “patch” if it’s the same as “sound” and the Blofeld manual always uses “sound”. Strange.

If I understand you, it’s like slot=patch but in that case why use “slot” ? There’s a really strange logic behind this librarian.

In the Blofeld, in a Multi setup you have 16 parts and each part uses one sound. That’s so simple.

I think when you use “slot” what you mean is “part”.

    So, for me, it’s:
    – Blofeld “part” –> librarian “slot”
    – Blofeld “sound” –> librarian “patch”

    Am I right?

    Hello,

Yes a slot equals a part.

    And patch equals a sound.

    and yes you are correct!

    Kind regards
    Mauricio
